A Sacred Journey of Service and Love
It is with gratitude and appreciation that we honor RMaya Briel as she steps into her next chapter in New Mexico. Rmaya is truly a radiant soul—someone who has given her heart, her presence, and her life force in service to love, healing, and our community.
During her six years with Unity of Wimberley, RMaya has woven herself into the very fabric of our spiritual home. Her offerings have been both profound and far-reaching, touching lives in ways seen and unseen.
RMaya has served as a Prayer Chaplain, holding others in compassion and sacred presence. She has been a guiding spiritual leader, an Eco-Spiritual Mentor, and a certified intuitive energy healer, bringing depth and authenticity to all she shares. For over 30 years, she has supported others as a massage body worker, offering healing through touch, care, and deep listening.
Her devotion extends well beyond our walls. As a member of the Earth Healers for 35 years, RMaya has traveled the world participating in sacred ceremonies to help restore and balance the Earth’s energy in places impacted by trauma. She has also served as an Elder Pipe Carrier for The Earth Tribe and has held ceremony in many meaningful ways—including offering an early morning peace pipe ceremony for our church during the uncertainty of COVID.
During that same time, when connection felt distant for many, RMaya stepped forward to create the Women’s Community Connection Circle—a weekly online space of comfort and belonging that carried so many through a challenging season.
RMaya has also been a Spirit Weaver Facilitator and Circle Guide within the Toltec community, a Medicine Wheel mental health provider, and a devoted member of the Moon Bear Medicine Lodge for 11 years. She has served on the planning committee, facilitated, and presented at multiple Unity Women’s Retreats, sharing her gifts with grace and intention.
In our own community, many have come to cherish the sacred rhythm of Kirtan that Rmaya has lovingly organized every Sunday for the past four years. Through music, prayer, and presence, she has created a space for connection.
RMaya, your presence has been a blessing. Your dedication and love have touched so many hearts and will continue to ripple far beyond this moment. While we will deeply miss you, we celebrate you and all that lies ahead on your journey.
